Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief

On the 30th day of December 2019 of the Gregorian calendar, the Tahir Buruj Foundation become a signatory of the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Disaster Relief.

Since its founding, under the guidance and leadership of Chairperson and President Badrul Barbhuiya, the Tahir Buruj Foundation has become a renowned and recognized charitable organization and provider of humanitarian aid.

The Tahir Buruj Foundation has led several international humanitarian emergency aid campaigns with the most notable one being the on-going efforts for the Rohingya refugees and stateless persons in Malaysia, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Rakhine (Arakan) State. Earlier this year, the Tahir Buruj Foundation, as a part of its on-going ‘Rohingya campaign’, introduced a travel and identification document known as the Tahir Buruj laissez-passer to help refugees and stateless persons to verify their identity and, refugee and/or statelessness status.

As we enter into a new year [2020] on the Gregorian calendar, the Tahir Buruj Foundation will continue to prioritize its purpose and goal to promote and support a positive welfare for all human beings regardless of race, creed, culture and nationality.
