The Qavoical International Affairs Committee (QIAC) was a Qavloical Governmental Entity responsible for all duties and responsibilities assigned to the Committee by the Qavloical Council* including but not limited to foreign relations, consular assistance and the issuing of travel & identification documents (incl. Tahir Buruj laissez-passers).

 

The Qavloical International Affairs Committee (QIAC) signed the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (1954), the International Cocoa Agreement (2010), the International Coffee Agreement (2007), the Convention on the International Maritime Satellite Organization (1976), the International Sugar Agreement (1992) and the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation (2019). The Legal Affairs and External Relations Division of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) confirmed receipt of the Instrument, from the President of the Qavloical Authority, of Accession to the Convention on the International Maritime Satellite Organization (1976).

 

On the 30th day of May 2021, the QIAC was merged into the composure of the Private Office of Adib Murshed by a Royal decree following consent from the Qavloical National Parliament.

 

Today, the Private Office of Adib Murshed maintains diplomatic and other official relations for and on behalf of the Qavloical Authority. The Private Office of Adib Murshed also issues Tahir Buruj laissez-passers in collaboration with the Tahir Buruj Foundation.
